get sportlines and if you need new shocks get standard they are good enough for what you have said you need them for and only £50 a corner. You say you just got the car, has it had the belts done?

to be fair you should of checked when it came back. I always check they have stamped it, therefore check if its there. In my eyes no book then prove it, if not its not got it

first thing I would do is strip the front brakes give them a good clean, grease up and rebuild. Replace parts if necessary. Had a similar noise on mine when discs were knackered but not all the time
