Direct replacement for the standard diff AFAIK. Cheapest I've seen one lately is £899 inc VAT, but they go up to about £1,100 depending on where you buy from (I'm looking at getting one myself).

TBH Steve does have a point. The difference is that most DIY jobs would be done by rank amateurs or people with little experience. If you do something as a profession then any DIY jobs you do are professional jobs by definition.

This. There's also a free tool from Microsoft called Process Explorer that I find handy. Run it and you can quit processes even if they're locked You can also close open handles to files (infected or malicious ones for example) so that they can be deleted without giving "Access is denied" errors.
