Sorted it! This is how I did it...
Yesterday I had managed to get the bolt out a good 7 or 8 turns before it rounded off, so some of the thread was exposed. I decided to spray some WD40 onto the thread and around the hole then tighten it back up a couple of turns - my thinking was that it'd make...
No idea. I'd like to know though - might give me a couple more options.
Not a bad idea actually. If I could hack the head off it the bracket would lift over the top I bet.
I suppose I could then drill the thread out whenever I could be bothered, or get some mole grips on it underneath the car...
I've now got this same problem. The f**king thing has rounded off!
Nothing I've tried has worked so far, so tomorrow I'm going to file / grind a couple of flat sides onto it and get the adjustable spanner on it. If that doesn't work, I need someone with a spot welder
LOL. I hit a badger in my 306 years ago. It did absolutely no damage to the car whatsoever. I don't think the badger would have appreciated it much though... I was doing about 90 at the time.
I just hit it, heard a thud then felt the wheel run over part of it. Noice.
This. It's common sense really. The sump plug key should cost no more than about £5 from a motor factors.
Then to remove the filter either buy / borrow the proper tool to remove it, or if you're feeling pikey just jab a screwdriver through it and use it to twist the filter off.
Re: iPhone "must have" apps?
So basically you have to sleep with your iPhone? That's taking it a bit too far IMO.
As a side note, does the accelerometer know when you're smashing your Mrs' back doors in, based on your body movements? Wouldn't it be cool if it started shouting "Who's the...
I found the 640-802 exam harder than 640-553. But that's probably because been looking after PIX/ASA's for a good few years before actually taking the exam and didn't have quite so much to learn by comparison.
Most of the interesting stuff for the CCNA exam I already knew beforehand. It was...
Only other person I know of in Ilkeston is Bongy, but I don't know what car he drives because I've never actually met him.
I see a Titanium 182 driving around a lot but I don't know whose that is. There's also a white 197 on Nottingham Road just as you enter Trowell.
I don't know how much they cost new. My first was replaced by the stealer under warranty a few weeks after I bought the car. That one failed a month or two later and they wouldn't replace it because I didn't purchase the extended warranty from them. So for my third I went to a scrappie and paid...
Nope, I don't need two :p
Mine's not bad on fuel at all really. I don't know what it's doing to the gallon but a full tank usually lasts about a week on normal mileage.
The trip down to K-Tec uses ¾ of a tank at the minute but I'm expecting to use more when the boost is cranked up.
Nice choice of wheels. Poor choice of tyres.
I had Pirelli P6000's on one of my 306's and they were shocking. I then had a set on my 106 GTi and they were even worse on that. Went for a set of Goodyear Eagle F1's after and it felt like I was driving on glue by comparison.
popie, how old are you out of interest? And how much NCB do you have?
Sky wanted something like £950 for me fully comp, which is preposterous! Flux and Greenlight only want in the region of £700 - £750 which is only slightly more than I was paying when the car was normally aspirated.
The last bend at Amen Corner that leads onto the pit straight is awesome for drifting. A few of us had the karts on two wheels coming round that corner and got told to slow down!
I wouldn't say the karts are too powerful for the track as such, it's more that the track is very tight and it makes...
