He's driving like an absolute plank, and one of these days he's going to kill someone. Unfortunately it'll be someone else. He obviously has too much money to throw at the sport because he certainly doesn't have skill. He's late on in EVERY corner, the fact that when he does actually get one...
What speed were you running for the water pics? If you can get away with it ISO1600 is always good for that as you can see the droplets of water, but depends if your sensor gets too grainy when you do it.
Depends what you're looking at virtualising. For us, VMWare Server (We're running 1.0.5) is fine. We run 6 virtual telephony archive databases on one DL140 - they are rarely accessed but for legal reasons we need to keep them indefinately. There's around 6Tb call recordings on DVD-RAM and...
We use Sophos and it appears to be extremely light on client usage. Highly recommend it as far as not being intrusive is concerned, and I've never had a virus outbreak!
I dunno about how professional this company is but if one of our software support contracts managed to infect our network with a virus that I'd have their head of technical support and their management at my feet apologising profusely and begging me not to have them stripped and raped in court...
Latitude ATG D630 are the best for that - the screen gets rediculously bright if you need it to. Only downside is that the resolution is only 1280x800, which IMO is a bit small. I loved the old D600/D610/D620 panels, they were brilliant, it's a shame they had to use the lower resolution for...
Sorry, was aimed as a general pointer for people. Feel free to put your handbag down and step back if you're taking offence, as you appear to be slightly disturbed by my input...
No probs! :D mine's running Vista Business 32-bit SP1. Unless you're running MORE than 4Gb, then 64-bit actually COSTS you performance and memory as the 64-bit extensions use more memory than you 'lose' by running 32-bit...
Well ner, I've got 4x74Gb Raptors in RAID0 and get around 450MB/sec disk throughput. And I've had 5.9 on Vista scale for a year, i'm keen for them to extend it to see the results.

defragment using perfectdisk or similar, and make sure pagefile is a reasonable size. Remove any unnecessary apps (particularly those that run on startup) and use Sysinternals Autoruns to check what runs at startup.
Can be. You need a HDCP compliant screen and I know for a fact my Panasonic 42" plasma isn't... You need to be aware of it when you're buying! And HD Ready means it's ready for High Definition broadcasts - it doesn't mean it's HDCP compliant which is a completely seperate standard relating to...
