    Cliosport in lights....

Not a bad effort ! :D Been done before though ;) These were done post 10-yr anniversary meet in Sahfend. The cross dresser's bus by evil_giraffes_rule, on Flickr CS.net by evil_giraffes_rule, on Flickr

    What wheels for black/gold FF 182 ?

JP should have them back to you within 2/3 days.. cheaper to get the bus/taxi to work (assuming you don't have a 100 mile commute haha!) for a couple of days than a new set of wheels ;)
  3. TheEvilGiraffe

    wheels :O?

Rules are there to be broken. Black wheels if done right look spot on... ;)
  4. TheEvilGiraffe

    What wheels for black/gold FF 182 ?

Always an option to get those ones refurbed if you like the look of them ? JP in Canvey comes highly recommended :)

    Eye lash mod

Forget carstaches (although, Movember is almost here... gotta be worth a giggle?) .. Has anyone seen the b*lloks you can buy to hang from your rear bumper/towbar ?

    wheels :O?

If I'd just written "Don't do it" that would have been less helpful than a chocolate fireguard, so I elaborated a little. I could have bored him/you to death with physics lessons behind increasing roll centres, sidewall deflection and such like but I'm pretty sure it would be lost on most...

    wheels :O?

If this is your first car, and you don't actually know what you want to put on it, then why bother ? Seriously.. It will probably put your insurance premium up as they are not what it left the factory with, even if it's an alternate OEM wheel. It will cost you more in tyres as they are...

    550D gone mental

Have you tried turning it off and on again ? Try changing the WB to something else, like Tungsten which is pretty cool IIRC?, and if you're still getting a warm orange glow, it needs some TLC from Canon perhaps !

    Mac/PC compatibility help

New HDDs are so cheap, you could get a new 1-2TB for £50 from Amazon/Ebuyer... If it were me, I'd buy a new external HDD, plug that into the new computer, format it so Windows is happy, plug it into the old computer with the old HDD too .. copy/paste, make a cuppa.......... Plug new one...

    197 rusting tailgate. Opinions?

I would imagine Renault UK would be helpful with this ? They seem to be pretty good with most issues... There'd be at least a 10 or 12 year anti-corrosion warrenty, providing it's all original still (the tailgate I mean) surely ?

can someone wire my car up to be really fast please

Ah good. Another satisfying confirmation that terminating my eBay account was the right thing to do many years ago ! Goooooooood grief. No time wasters ? Hello bored people of CS...

    Need advice

SRS ? Call them up, speak to someone with an IQ greater than their shoe size and sort it out. What is anyone here going to tell you that you won't already know !? Saved up for coilovers by buying a new car IIRC. /no further questions, your honour.
  17. TheEvilGiraffe

Coilovers, ground clearance and heavy snow.

Surely you could lower it 20-30mm until March and see how you get on with it ! Would be stupid to raise/lower it every other day after checking the forecast. The handling should be better when it's not snowing anyway, as the springs/dampers should be firmer than OEM... Best bet is (if...

    Dust

Hoover the roads or stop driving. :coffee: Seriously though, what do you normally do on a Sunday morning cleaning the car ...? Bucket of suds, sponge and a coat of TurtleWax scrubbed off with your finest Chamois, or have you got £100's of CYC/i4d kit sitting on your shelves...?

what you can do to a 1.2 clio?

The thing with low powered engines is that it costs a lot of money to get them to have a worthwhile percentage. With a 172, supercharging or ITBs is about £3-5k for a ~30% power increase, and in my mind that's a waste of time as for the money you could get something stupid quick and interesting...

If you're happy with OS X anyway, you'll already know how to set up the trackpad, gestures and hot corners the way you like... Not sure what you mean about uninstalling windows programs !? There's not much on the machine when you get it. Certainly no sh*t that Dell/HP install filling the...
