Get yourself another 16v or a Willy. Im sure it wont make you sad once youre behind the wheel! I was a bit pissed off about not having my 172 anymore at first, but now Ive got the Willy Im happy again.

Good on you for having the guts to admit it! Ive been embarrased in the past by an XR2 and a bloody Ford Galaxy. Some people really pick the strangest cars to spend money on!

Ben H - see my comments in my previous post about the awful noise Im getting from the unsilenced decat.
Ive just bought some silicone gasket stuff from Halfords and am going to re-fit it tomorrow to see if the silicone between the metal will help deaden the noise.
The buzzing I get is...
Got a straight through de-cat that buzzes and vibrates and a back box that has been badly fitted about 4 times by the same garage and smacks against the rear axle or something when turning right. I was thinking of just taking it to a sane, sensible garage and getting them to rip it all out and...
How much would I be looking to pay for an exhaust system for the Willy from including a silenced de-cat and back. Also, would it be possible to use the original backbox (its just had a new one.....might as well use it)?

Its nearly £50. I really wouldnt bother unless you want a nasty rasping noise coming from under your bonnet. I bought one and had it on a 1.4 16v Clio and it was a waste of money, IMO.

Or, Bob, have you ever been short of money and had to use your car even though its low on fuel? If not, youre a luckier man than I. :( I dont think you should recommend that Renault remove this handy function!
Cupsize - Ive just changed my 185/55/15 tyres on my Williams to 195/50/15 and the feel of the handling just isnt as good anymore. Im definitely putting the original size tyres on next time. By all means try it, but its not guaranteed to make a positive difference.

Ive got a straight through de-cat pipe to fit to the Willy. When I had it on before it buzzed like a b*****d bumble bee which sounded sh*te and was generally annoying. Is there any way I can re-fit the pipe without it buzzing? Is there some sort of gasket I can put on it? Special Anti-Buzz...
Ive just had a new cat fitted by the gimps who sold me the car and Ive just been told by an independednt garage that there are no washers on the bolts and no gasket so the friggin thing is blowing.
Until I can face getting it sorted out, is it okay to keep running the car? What does a blowing...
Simon - youve hit the nail on the head. Shinyness is why Ferraris are so fast. Do you ever see a dull Ferrari? No! Do you ever see a slow Ferrari? No! Make your car Ferrari fast by polishing it. I might go and give my willy a rub now :o
Im not a fan of large wheels on small cars, but those Team Dynamic gold alloys of yours really suits the car. Are you putting them back on? Sort of gves the Willy effect without looking like youre trying to make the car look like a Williams.
