Building your own isn't value for money any more - no chance. Go for a Dell or even see if you can pick up a HP dc7700 for that money, they're fairly good but you'd need a low profile PCI-E graphics card to go with - still my favourite off-the-shelf box though.
I beg to differ - my car looks a lot better with Onyx than it does with P21S, and better with P21S than with Megs Gold Class... There's a lot more to a product than 'it's a wax' - it's composition for starters...
I think it doesn't upscale unless you have the HD-DVD drive, but I'm not 100% certain on that. Certainly did upscale over my component connection to my TV when playing a DVD through the HD-DVD drive.
It's dirty now!! I had to rally it 15 miles to see the Mrs, 30 miles back home and back there again to get a bass guitar as the regulars own snapped a string (and didn't have a spare!), and then 15 miles back home, followed by the 35 in to work this morning!
I need a daily driver, but unless...
Yeah - it wasn't meant as it probably came across!! It's just I've been meaning to do it what with not having done any major correction work since getting the PC or the car... And being second owner to someone who did alright with not putting too many swirls on, but there's still a few... I...
All,
Am after a good-sized LCD or Plasma for the new bedroom, however this one doesn't need to be so high spec - no more than a 32", 28" would be fine if they do them that sort of size - and as long as it's got a good enough picture I'm not overly fussed on brand.
Anyone had any good...
I had a bash at mine yesterday (back bumper and boot only) with Megs DACP (orange pad) followed by Menzerna Final Finish (white pad), and a quick buff over with AG SRP (white pad) and sealed with EGP followed by Swissvax Onyx...
Fairly sure those two panels will give Rich a run for his money -...
Guys,
Getting a new place and I'd like to spend as little as possible on getting a TV of the above sizes - HOWEVER I don't want to go with a cheapy and I want a decent resolution - I was looking for advice on proper 1080p LCDs (McBunny is good here I know this!) however I'd want at least...
Nah, I'd go for 3 of each pad in the small diameter, maybe even 4 as you get a big mess when you use a pad for too long, the product seeps to the back of the pad under pressure and eventually flings everywhere...
If you SRP, if used properly will remove all of the EGP from the last attempt, or if you just half-arsed job it then it'll take most of it off.
However, if you just EGP over the top you'll start getting a nice set of layers built up that will last months...
£150 with pads and polish? I don't mean to destroy your hopes but to get a level of equipment necessary you're really looking towards the £300 mark by the time you have a good set of polishes, transformer, cable, polisher, all the pads you'll want (you need 2-3 of each sort to do a whole...
Careful - plastic is much easier to burn than glass/paintwork so will marr much easier than paintwork. That said a very slow speed on a very light cut polish/pad on a PC should get them up better than new!
Component is capable of 1080p, and wired ethernet of any form is capable of streaming HD content, including old 10mbit stuff. Remember satellite is only 2mbit, and there's 11 HD channels on there - however that is at it's limit. Sky need to find another way of getting HD to people, as there's...
Sounds exactly like the sort of use I do... and I have an SZ2 - the replacement SZ3 is near identical, just with the newer processors (I'm not entirely sure on the difference between the processors, same core speed, same FSB and cache) and I've put 2gb 667 memory in it, and that's all it's...
My dad thinks he's better than he is, and messes with Linux that much that eventually it just f***s the computer (well done old man), and has to ask me trivial windows questions "Because it all gets moved around so often" (How long has XP been out?)
My mum is a programmer, but doesn't do...
Or on a motorcycle... It's fun on them! Stand up wheelies
Again, preferable to have a quickshifter with it, then you can do full-throttle clutchless changes
