It plays fine on my laptop (Core Duo 1.66Ghz - Early spec, with limited cache, 1gig RAM and nVidia 7400 running some shared memory) so I can't imagine it requiring a huge amount of computing power - and that's 1280x800.
Same problem talking to my ex - saw her on with a good picture and tried to make a comment... But it told me it couldn't be delivered. Sent her a text instead. Lol.
Got a de-cat with full YS system now (pics to follow real soon!) and it's now a fantastic drive. The noise is exactly what I want and lovely and loud, it's given it a much more useful power curve.

I can see their point, but it's stupid. Home and Professional/Business is more than adequate, with maybe the 'Ultimate' as a Professional/Mediacenter Hybrid.
That and a bit more memory... 512Mb will never suffice for what is essentially a video manipulation machine... If you can stretch, you want 2gb, but 1gb is a minimum. If you're considering Vista then you will certainly need 2gb. I dread to think what my laptop would be like trying to run Media...
I've got an Alpine Fullspeed and it's ace - dunno who suggested it was slow and clunky but I've never had a problem with mine and it's been brilliant - I don't have a single CD anywhere in my car and I've got around 9 days worth of solid music to choose from... And my 60gb is nowhere near full...
Awesome look and sound. Stop being so jealous all you haters, it's just a good amount of money to throw at looks, but then some could say that about Lusty's flip paint ;)
