I had the same - the 17"s actually made the speedo MORE accurate than it was before.

Of course it will have some faults. Some cars have a few, others a lot. You just cant tell. Not all the 172s had the exhaust fault you describe, and here in the UK most have been replaced under warranty.

Youd need to change the wheels too. The Cup has a different offset giving a slightly wider track.

Cheaper still just count - 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - etc. Dont use your fingers its dangerous.

even if it was a laser van (most of them are) theres no guarantee that the laser was pointing at his car - it might not have been operating at all. Hope he doesnt get a ticket!
