23mpg for in town driving sounds about right. Have you reset the counter? I'd say get use to it; 100.9p I paid last night for BP Super; GRRR!!! It's better over longer distances. Mine averages about 33Mpg.

Mine came with ContiSports; not sure if it's the same on other 172 models. Thought they were decent; but F1s are better.

I have F1s and rate them highly; never used the PE2s but a lot of people do rate them. No difference on price from what I've noticed; they are both premium tyres.

Surely the insurance would be more on a conversion car that it would be on a standard 172. Most insurance companies won't take kindly to engine transplants!!

You can get the car serviced anywhere to maintain warranty as long as you use Renault Parts. But you may have messed up your warranty now anyway as your 3k over your service time! Just get it to a good service place.
