Price is about right. I'd say between £7-7.5k is right, just depends on how quick you want to sell. £7k for quick sale or wait out for £7.5k. I have seen this car in the metal and I know its 100% mint!

I met a guy from here who had a ph1 172 it had done 177,000 miles! and still running well! It was still running on orginal internals although pretty much everything else had been done at least twice ie cambelt and shocks! FYI - it was also running an lpg conversion!

If its a racing cat then it should pass MOT. If its a straight through pipe then it wont. It will be hard to get hold of one at short notice. Try get one from a breackers.

You obviously not been shopping for 182 recently have you? I bought a mint 05 reg 182 with 21k on the clock for £7k. I think you could buy a 182 for just over £6k now if you really look and argue price. Also with much less than 55k! P.S. - 197 FTW

I wounldn't have thought hydro forming costs that much on an industrial scale. I think the time to weld all the pipes together would be the most time consuming and expensive. The 182 mani is made up of like 20 different pices, must have cost reno a fortune to make.

I'd leave it, Vee's look pretty much perfect, I cant think of anything I would change looks wise. Save the cash for a set pipes and re-map.

I use to have a 1.2 Corsa I know its a different car but its still a 1.2. I could not for the love of god get it to do more than 39 mpg. Most times I would see 36-37 and that was real carful driving. Dont forget in cold weather you will lose mpg.

All my other electrics seems fine. ALthough it looks like its still running on orginal battery as its a Renault one. I should prob change it ASAP TBH. I still think its giving a good charge thou.

Dont forget stripping the interior is free! I heard every 10kg loss will gain you 1bhp per tonne. I think a re-map and matched inlets will give you an edge. (+10 bhp)

So really they are saying the clio is a more focused/track car. I like that! Seems that everyone who drives the 197 says it feels slow. Is this because its quite a nice ride or something?

Just serviced mine my self yestersday. Fully synthetic oil, oil filter, air filter, gear box oil and new copper washers came to £59. I kept all recipts for proof.
