    Non sport rack is fine, but you'll need the tie rods of a RS model as the non sport ones are shorter.

    Try a read out of the fault codes with a proper diagnostic computer (Renault Clip/RSTuner).

    That is the engine management light flashing. Needs a proper diagnostic read out/investigations.

    Not needed. Just widen the clamp on the hub (hammer and chisel) and whack the joint out.

    172 aubframes have an additional hole for the lower gearbox mount.

    It's a sensor that tells the Airbag ECU the position of your seat. It's needed for the dual stage airbag in the steering wheel. You could drill the rivet out.

    My Schroth instructions say that you need to fit the lower harness to the original mounting points.

    When i changed mine, i used a slim spanner on the inner balljoint (it had a slot for a spanner).

    Personally i wouldn't solder the connection but replace the plug with some heatshrinked crimp connectors. Much tidier imo.

    A blown fuse has the same behaviour as a pulled one.

    No need to bleed the brakes after changing pads. But you may have a leak in a brake line/hose/connection.

    I <3 you Mick. You must be a decent mechanic. ;) BTW: F4Rs (especially the 1*2 ones) are proper divas. Just get the right plugs and enjoy the engine's full performance. Renault's best 4-cylinder-NA-engine imo.

    The steering might be very light at higher speeds without the VSS. But you could "switch" the ECU for parking etc.
