Is there anyway to tell the Cooper S apart from the Works?
Arent the works ones suppose to be completely sh*t hot, and from a 1.6?? I guess they do cost a fair whack more than a 182 tho!
Clean16v: I can defo see where you are coming from on the depreciation, but some people cant afford to...
Ill certainly be gettin mine done at Reno, not because they are better, but just because it looks better to someone buying it.
Why should I pay for a filter change when I dont need it?
And why would I pay Reno twice the amount on oil if I can provide my own and save?
Just common sense...

Very wrong.£200 quid is £200 quid.If I can get the same job done for £50 then its £150 saving. Thanks guys.
Agreed.
My mates got an old T reg 911, about 20 years old, but it produces masses of torque.
Really doubt I could keep up, but I wouldnt be a dot in his rear mirror either.

Think most people buy the 182 and then fit buckets from somewhere like demon tweeks. About half the cost, or spend the same amount and get much better ones. PM Y0z2a about his special ones
But then you have increase insurance and its...

The 172 Cup screens are thinner than the normal 172 screen and isnt solar reflective, so some people ask for the normal 172 screen when its replaced.
NOOO, it will be heavier and then youll go as slow as a 172 Phat.
.... LOL!

apparantly according to the hpi report with my car, i have a 5dr Williams!
Fantastic, is it also in Brown? :)
Never sat in the Recaros myself, but people have said good things.
Do a search youll find some info.
The are lower and I think most people find the standard seats a little high, I do, and would defo go for Recaros just for that reason!
Not sure about price mate, I bought mine 2nd hand...
If you supply your own oil and dont get an air filter change (because of ITG Panel Filter) will the service be cheaper?
How much oil is needed, and where do people usually buy this?
Im up for my 24k service soon, any price cutting is all good!
The seats in the ST are awfull!!
They look nice, but just dont seem right when you sit in them, they dont hold you one bit!
Plus you cant actually buy a ST, well at least he wouldnt let me have a test drive, ohh group 14 couldnt afford the insurance.
Clearly didnt see what car I drove...
I was filling up in Sainsburys yesterday with the usual Super Unleaded Squirt, when a lovely 355 Spider came in.
Certainly made me turn my head, did have a quick word, tell him it was a very nice car, but should be yellow not blue.
He was filling up with normal unleaded as well, I mean...

iirc you wont be able to claim off of the council if they have been and investigated the said pot hole in the last 2 months or something stupid like that.
Is that right??
What the hell does my council tax go on!!! 2 Months is...
I would recommended a Punto Sporting anyday!!
Bryans right, my girlfriend did have quite a major problem with hers. But after all thats one out of thousands (etc).
She is actually thinking of getting the older shape Punto Sporting now (yellow of course) and selling her 106.
Anyway...
RS would have been aimed right at the top of the market.
ST150 is pitched lower down for those who want a quickish hatchback, not a super hot hatch!
They will shift loads of them, look at the Zetec S, people out there just love the things. I myself think they look quite smart.
But the...
