I believe your car has to be road legal for RWYB, but once youve been through scrutineering there would be nothing to stop you swapping your wheels. Try it!
If you change into 4th at around 6250 in each gear youll get a better time. Trouble is you instinctively want to just keep on going but in reality the engine power drops off significantly after about 6krpm. Top speed for a 172 in 3rd is a tad over 88mph so you need to be in 4th to get a sub-15...
Perfectly happy with mine - and believe me I would have kicked up a fuss if I wasnt - my car was only 3 months old when I had it fitted! Magnex do enjoy a good reputation - but I think that the customer experience is pretty much down to the quality of the fitting. If its fitted well it should...
I ordered mine from Demon Tweeks and they fitted it while I waited. Didnt take long (20 minutes?) and fits perfectly. Youre not the first to be given this story - it seems weird!
Part number is MNXXSR05/TR if it helps (thats the cat-back system).
Copy of invoice here...
Or maybe a ruse to take the heat out of the Cup Options debacle. OK you still cant have a roll-cage, seats etc but look at all these other goodies we can offer you!
Nice one Ed, sounds like a brilliant weekend. Its the French Car Show over here on the 25th and a lot of us are going as Cliosport has a stand. Why do these things always come up on dates when I cant go???? Aghhhh!
Its some bloke from Manchester. To find out who just go to http://www.whois.comhttp://www.whois.com and enter the offending domain name. It will return the owners name, address and email address.
Already lowered a lil bit on Eibachs - could always do a Fred and get some -100mm coilovers I spose.
BUT WAIT! I have a K-tec strut-brace sitting in the garage, Ill go fit that. :D:D:D
I got these done for the Brands event in November, intending to remove them afterwards. Anyhow theyre still on the car, and what with summer and the French Car Show etc coming up soon - what do you think? Stay or Go?

A track day wont be too hard on your tyres, and your brakes will hardly notice it. If its an airfield day your tyres will suffer a bit more as the surface tends to be concrete. If you want to get into track days then Bedford is a good start as Jas says.

Hi Tom, welcome back mate. I assume youll be getting an aftermarket exhuast for the Cup then. If I remember rightly itll make the car look like a mobile phone from above. Still LMAO when I think of that thread :D
Viv - I believe its the centre section. I changed mine for a Magnex cat-back and the rattle went away. A performance cat-back (e.g. Magnex or K-tec) will set you back around £300 - £350 fitted. Taking into account the lifetime guarantee I think its a good investment.
If they offer lots of options, e.g. leather/alcantra interior @ £1,000, Climate Control @ £500, Autochanger £300 theyll end up charging more for a fully-loaded Cup than a standard 172!
Have a look in the front of the catalogue and find the direct-dial number for a guy called John Harris. Hes really helpful and knows what hes talking about. Tell him youre a Cliosport member and youll be fine. BTW the discount isnt always 10% but youll get a good price whatever youre after.
