Couldnt agree more. BMW drivers seem to suffer the same affliction. There must be a note in the handbook something like:
In reduced visibility turn on your fog lights using switch A. Theres no need to turn them off, as your BMW dealer will do this at the next service.
Its never happened to me - I even asked about an update at one stage but was told nothing doing. If an update was issued it would more than likely be a bug-fix of some description rather than a re-map. Superchips must face this issue on all the cars they re-map, so I guess they must have a...
Not true. They wouldnt sell many if that happened. The only thing that Renault might do is clear the error log from the ECU. They wont replace the map.
Cuppy if you have any mods you might want to enquire about a custom map with your superchip. Roamer and others have seen good gains from this.
Let me drive it next time itll do a lot better http://homepages.tesco.net/~mmikee/smiley/wiggle.gif

No its a heavy clonk when I pull off. Happens in second too sometimes. I think its an engine mount, but I bet 2p they blame my exhaust :( I heard the wheelspin thing is actually meant to happen, dont know why though.
Only had it on for an hour - removed it again as the cars into Renault next week and I dont want them blaming it for the (totally unrelated) bits that they need to put right.
But, I am a great believer in mods and I always feel that they provide enormous benefits, whether they actually do or...
Everything temperature related has gone haywire since the Euro trip m8. External temp reads very high (it was 32 degrees in Telford today apparently), and the climate control doesnt seem to want to quit - regardless of settings it just keeps pumping out the cold air at full blast until there are...
Sympathies Paddy. Actually I had the opposite problem - couldnt get the bloody things off! Ended up having new valves, and Ill be sticking with the black plastic ones from now on
Remove rear seats, remove spare wheel. Total cost £0.
IK, exhaust and Superchip with custom map - about £1,000.
the only other really effective thing would be Nitrous @ about £500
Im sure the new Clio will be pretty cool. Ever since it was introduced Renault have marketed it as a fashion statement. OK it might take a bit of getting used to - remember what we all said about the looks of the (current) facelift model when it came out?
