I done it on the ground just, didnt remove the gearbox. just slid it back enough to slide the clutch plate and pressure plate in and out, it was a squeeze, but got it done :) Easy enough really, just takes time.
Yeh i had the dogbone and gearbox mount removed! also had the 2 plates that are on the back of each side of the subframes removed. Its a strange one. Another strange thing, The lining on the flywheel side of the clutch plate was completly gone! Just the metal, but the flywheel was perfect, and...
Today i replaced the clutch in the clio. For some reason i couldnt get the subframe to drop! Anyone know why?
I had the bottom ball joints disconnect, aswell as the drop links on each side, which hold the covers in the arches. I removed the 4 large subframe bolts, but the sub frame was still...
Do you mean its leaking from the drivers side? If it is, theres a sensor on a PAS pipe there, youll see it, when you look down very common to leak from here. Dont know about the price of a gearbox rebuild over in mainland, but can get it done over here for £250. Though if its not the box leaking...
Hey, the oil will be leaking out of where the selector goes into the box! its a common fault. The seal round it comes loose then the selector moving elongates the hole! To get the leak fixed you need the box stripped and rebuilt. Unfortunately you cannot take the selector out of the box and put...
Yes mate, there is no way (without disconnecting it) of switching of the steering wheel airbag. :) The key control in the passengers door only controls the passenger side airbag.
Yeh you can still use the front airbags, The switch on the passengers side door only turns off/on the passenger side airbag, for when you have a rear facing baby seat in the passenger seat. Just turn it back on. Both airbags will still work. If you want the airbag warning light off youll have to...
Thats what i was thinking. Theres a clifford alarm on it aswell, maybe be better disconnecting that and trying if for a few days? Is there anyway of disconnecting the factory fitted immobiliser? or has it to be put on the computer to be switched of?
Cheers
know this isnt a clio but theres a few saxo owners on here to. Do yas have any idea what would be the problem, ocassionally it wont start. It just turns over and over, when you leave it for a while it fires straight away. When it isnt starting and just turning over, theres a strong smell of...
Just wondering if any of yous know of a plug that allows me to wire in, POSITIVE, NEGATIVE, REMOTE AND SIGNAL. Its so I can have it wired up then with one plug unplug my amp + sub and life out. im sure ive seen one before somewhere but i cant remember where!!!
if its been missing for a while theres more chance that something had got in and damaged the rack. see how the steering rack feels when turning from lock to lock and check for any leeks. if its all good then it should be fine
yeh reasonably. You will probably need to strip down to the steering rack and possibly remove it.
Its no big scene unless dirt has got into the rack, in which case stay clear. Do you know how long it has had the rubber missing?
