Photo request; oil cooler

Has anyone got pictures of a 172 with an oil cooler fitted, looking for ideas on where/how to mount the cooler. Cheers

Best do a search don't think there many fitted try doing a search for posts by 16V_jon as he has one not seen any pics of his on here mind you from memory.

Best IMo keeping it infront of the rad and easily accessable so you can cover it up in the cold weather so the oil is allowed to get to temp.

Ive never seen a pic of one fitted. DOnt they have a built in thermostat so only cool when the oil is really hot?

yes it is wonky because the bolts on the left were loose, note to self, use threadlock more

ahh that looks cool, is that the ktec one? Can you see it through the bottom grill when you have the bumper on?

ktec one is mocal but they add £30 to the cost. You can buy the kit from merlin motorsport or even think auto complete with a thermostatic sandwich plate for around £140.

only really need for track cars, when oil temps start creeping upto 130degC you need to think about getting one

yozzasport are mocal stockists, i think they charge about £150 for the kit
