I had this on my 1.2.. Took it into renault and they replaced the spark plugs... Renault will try to rip you off with a £100 bill just for spark plugs fitted... BUT spark plugs are £4 each!! It is perfect now!

1.2 16v 03 Mk2 Ph2 I know its french, and its rattle after rattle with french cars, but is there anyway to stop this from happening? It gets quite annoying after a while!! Cheers Matt

LOL! such a mark up on parts and labour!! Would renault of used a set of new spark plugs to check to see if it was the problem? left them in there, and then phoned me and told me the price expecting me to just say yes? i wernt having any of it!! :)

what ever you do... dont buy the ripspeed one from halfords... my mate has one, and he has had nothing but trouble with it! and a decent one can be had now for less money!!

Nope... wont use anything apart from BP Ultimate! they tested my oxygen sensor just incase and it works perfect....

Right... heres the story... I went to collect the car, was getting ready to have a go at them... the lady handed me the key and said 'i have spoken to sales, and they agreed to let you have it done as a goodwill gesture on behalf of renault, so your car is all ready to go with your new plugs'...

Have just spoken to a guy i know who is a retired mechanic, and he said he can get plugs fitted for about £25 for me!!! I am going to kick up a fuss when i pick it up!!! they must be gold plated plugs from renault!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Car has been in Renault in Chelmsford since 9 o'clock this morning. It has been miss-firing and loosing power. I just got a phone call telling me its my spark plugs, they rekon this will cost me £97.53... is this a good price? Only bought the car in june, shouldnt this of been found in the...

have you tried a local scrappy? they may have cars down there that you can get the holders from...
