The Menzerna polishing pads are superb, one of my fave. discovery's. They provide almost light cut pad correctional abilitys but still allow you to finish down to a wax ready finish.
Key to the Menzerna's is the same as any polish, make sure you work them until they have broken down properly...
Other way round here if I know I am going to polish and wax I just use the cheap stuff. Use the other stuff to maintain the look between big details or waxings.
Duragloss in US gallons is a fair shout, though loses out to the Hyperwash in the ration of the amount needed, damn nice shampoo.
Local Vauxhall dealer should be able to supply Sonax Gloss Shampoo in decent sizes aswell though it did not seem that cheap when I priced it up.
US Gallons - 3 odd litres is as go as it gets. Though the Hyper Washes ratio of 400:1 means one pump (oh er!) does a bucket, so that should last okish.
May be worth getting onto you local AG Rep they do a foamy version of the shampoo in 25 litre drums.
In Bulk you wont go wrong with Meguiars Shampoo Plus or Meguiars Hyperwash - if you need even more suds just increase the quantitys a bit, sold in US gallon sizes they will still last you ages even if you use extra.
I have both lol!
The PO91L is the origional formula has a shorter work time and is ideal for colder days when the newer PO85RD 3.02's long work time may have you there for ages getting it to break down properly.
The PO85RD 3.02 will produce better results without the risk of dusting, it was...
Always try it with polishing pad first though only step up to a cutting pad if you really need too. I tend to use it lots with the 5 inch Menzerna Polishing pad, as this edges toward a light cut pad and is quite effective. Cutting pads proper I use the Sonus SFX one.
The SRP would be purely to leave a perfect base for the EGP to bond, they are designed to work together, and by using the SRP the EGP will yield best results. After using the Menz the SRP will be fine on a finishing pad as it won't be used for corrective purpose. I tend to use EGP by hand.
In...
In the other extreme I would not bother doing any corrective work if it is too hot either ! If it is that hot polishes play up it is too hot to be doing it and chilling with a beer in the garden is much more appealing.
#83 can be funny if it is too warm (not a big fan tbh Poorboys SSR 2,5 for...
If you want to use the EGP, use some SRP first, it works lovely by machine on a finishing or polishing pad dependant on what steps you have done before. SRP really comes alive by machine.
Would not avoid #83 and #80 as they will probably work better at this time of year over the Menzerna...
For the above use I would still stick to AG Vinyl and Rubber then. Only other product I have used for the same jobs is Einzett Vinyl and Rubber but is an expensive alternative for no extra gains.
Bold and bright is a thicker liquid than the AG Vinyl and Rubber but is thin enough to spray if you like and can be used on plastics. I like it, looks ace on tyres as well, though the Blackfire has the edge in looks and durability so I use that for normal use on the 182 tyres. Still back to good...
Aside from the products actually designed for glass defect removal no off the shelf products will actual produce any cut on glass.
Jewellers Rouge or the glass polishing kits like www.frost.co.uk sell are you only options but will deform the glass.
The underseal will come of fairly easily, AG Bumper Care believe it or not of all products will take it off.
I have done a guide on DW to cleaning wheel arches Paul!
