Obviously they get full of s**t over time and get nice and sticky (Eurghh!) Whats a good way of cleaning them? I'd rather not scrub it to death incase I rip all the rubber of it! Is there a good deep cleaner thats safe to use?

Do they fit straight onto mk2s? Its piss easy to heel toe in teh willy, pedals are too far apart for my little feet in the 172! :)

How can you tell the difference when its not on the car? A lot of people take pictures of it looking down on it - they all look the bloody same! I want to keep my eye out for one but don't want to end up getting the wrong one!

mine are black and have that strange coating though and its a phase 2... Its the same texture as the centre console and headunit - feels grubby when its not!

what the hell is that filmy greasy crap that they're coated in! Are all models the same or will I have to order one specifically to the 172? I checked and they're about £30 for a 172 item. Actually I might have a go at painting them a dark grey first see how they come out.

I used to have all that crap too, in the end I was glad to pay £54 a year extra through the Halifax and speak to actual people who understand me and understand english based cars!
