Not tried any waiting to see what people say to how it looks after the first wash. I have no real need to try it due to the shed loads of wax I already have. I am pretty happy with Swissvax Onyx as my go to choice on all colours for everyday use, and have the others for best.
zzzzzzzzz ;)
Sounds like Wax Holograms then, can be a right b**ch on Black, you won't see them till the sun gets on it. Try a good wipe down with the QD a few hours after waxing. If you can be leave it in the sun to allow the holograms to form then QD it when it cools down in the evening.
I apply the SRP and EGP once a year, and then maintain inbetween with Poorboys or Swissvax Wheel Sealants. I use a Blue and Black Halfords Wheel Brush to do the inners.
Worth doing a quick search on here as it has been discussed a fair bit for the PC.
3 main routes for Paintwork Correction are:
Menzerna Intensive Polish and Final Finish(s)
Meguiars 83 and 80
Poorboys SSR Range.
The later the easist to master, the first the producing the best results with a...
Seems to look better on Flat Blacks, does not allow the very fine flake in Black Gold to sing out as much as the Swissvax Best of Show. Just upgraded to Mystery which I am not sure I like as much as Zymol Destiny yet though. Unfortunatley I only have that in a sample size. The Concours is not a...
SRP is needed to get the EGP to bond properly. Use the SRP by machine aswell works much better. I would do a couple of coats of EGP, one on Sat and say one on Sunday. They need 12 or so hours between them to allow correct bonding.
I would then add the wax the next time you wash the car, as you...
The XXX stuff is from what I can tell the same product as the Poorboys origional Nattys which was white, the Nattys Blue has the edge on both looks wise, but the 50/50 punches above its weight and can produce looks akin Pinnacle Souveran and looked better than Zymol Carbon in the tests I did...
Does the hazy or swirly?
If it look hazy try a wipe down with some quick detail spray and see if they go away? I find I need to do a really good wipe down on mine after waxing with a couple of plush cloths and a nice detail spray or some Zymol Field Glaze or I get a hazy look to the paint.
Yes sounds right we where only on there for a short hop between junctions to get to Oxfordish for a birthday meal (well out of my normal way home from Silverstone!). Would have been a Blue Mustang and maybe a Red GTi between myself and Dee (deedee) on here as Justin says.
Doh - always the...
SRP is mild enough to use every week without worrying, but is a waste of time and product! Luckily it should leave 30 days protection behind stand alone so it will be protected.
The wax wont do anything for the car looking swirly unforunatly that needs sorting at the polishing stage.
Nattys Blue looks ok on Black is very clear and wet looking but lacks the depth of the P21s. It is also not as easy to remove as some other Carnuba's. I would spend a touch more or P21s or...
Mine has marks in to. Fine line between having a decent amount of clearcoat and some defects. Still not used a cutting pad on it bar a few isolated areas as it will be staying in my ownership for a while.
LOL @ the comment on Brazo's prices - you get what you pay for.
I have not got the time to do it, and if you don't like Mark's prices you won't like mine either !
I have a whole mixture of Pads, Sonus, Megs, Lake Country - the Menzerna Orange Polishing pads where the ones I was mentioning inparticular, has slightly more cut than say a SFX polishing pad, but still allows you to finish LSP ready with it - great time saver.
