The Slayer has actually been caught on film. It happened at York Dragway last weekend. Matt-Leics was behind the camera, and I was behind the wheel of the 172 that slaughtered the Slayer. Click the telford_mike link on this page...
My first time with Easytrack, but there have been good reports on this board and they seem a good bunch judging by their discussion forum. Look forward to seeing you there if you can make it - therell doubtless be further discussion in the Events forum nearer the time.

I think the calipers look fine - particularly when youre on the move and they get a bit blurred by the wheels (and what nice wheels they are too).
I cant help thinking that the Cup should have been lower. I think they lowered it by 3mm or something from standard? My 172 is lowered by 30mm...
Could they do a bonnet with a nice power bulge, a la 16v? The current bonnet weighs a ton and adds nothing to the car apart from keeping the engine dry.
The gearbox doesnt work unless youre absolutely thrashing the nuts off the car. Try changing up at low or mid revs and youll just get a box full of neutrals. It really would be undriveable on the road. If you really want one then just buy a Cup Racer from Renault and keep it for the track!

GR makes a good point - private plates are anything but! Its strange how you get attached to them though. Val & I have a matching pair (makes you wanna chuck doesnt it!) - B8xxx and T8xxx.
Some people get them to match their names. Others get them to match the car - I presume these get sold...

I dont think youd really want one of these for the road. A few of us tried the Clio Cup racers earlier in the year - the gearbox was great - on a track. Can you imagine burbling around town and only being able to change up at full throttle though??
There are lots of RenaultSport brochures at the dealer in Telford. They are full of blue and yellow articles of clothing apparently designed by a colour-blind drug-addict. Im sure the Renaultsport cufflinks wont affect your warranty, but the golf umbrella looks a bit dodgy to me - Id stick with...
Matt - when you got your 15.3 did you change into 4th? I notice your TS was 88.8 which is identical to mine when I ws bouncing off the limiter. These vids are great - makes such a difference being able to hear the commentary.
