I'm with sky now and renewed with them last year as it was cheaper than other quotes I got. Not often you can say that! Insuring a modified car is a pain in the arse though.

Dremel the inlet? That's probably the most labour intensive way of doing it 🤣. Buy a spare and send it somewhere for vapour blasting or have it powder coated and just swap them over. As for carbon dipped parts, just no🙈.

You can bake them in the oven for about 15 mins and split them. It's not an easy job though and getting them back together righ isn't easy. Then the adjusters in the good one will probably break anyway. I'd only do that if the insides need cleaning up at all. If you just need to swap the broken...

Buying another Clio and starting agian would be a mistake I think. Besides cheap clio's don't really exist these days so you'd be in it for more even before you know if it would survive the drive home nevermind a track day. If I were you I'd have the car shipped off to have a recon gearbox...
