You *can* get the performance with the gadgets. Just takes a little research and some patience. The Cup is a great car though, and a shrewd piece of marketing.
-Roamer. If youre thinking of meshing the lower grille why not consider including a neat cut-out for the ram-air input for an induction kit. Whether its Hill Power, Pipecross or whatever, we need a neat & tidy intake. A mesh job provides an opportunity to achieve this without the agony of...

For some reason the police are red hot on this in Telford at the moment (its quiet here!!). I dont think dodgy spacing is too bad, but on some plates you see its actually difficult to make out what the real number is, which is a no-no. Most of those wierd fonts look tacky too.

Val & I will be on the track @ Bedford on the 6th September. The following afternoon (7th) were off to Spain flying from Luton at 2-ish in the afternoon. Any suggestions for accommodation in a nice pub etc? Seems a waste to drive back to Telford for the night.
Thx,
Mike.
Runs like a dog first thing every morning. Dont depress the accelerator when trying to start it - doesnt help.
Mine goes great after about a mile, I think its the ECU keeping the fuelling down sos you cant rag it when its cold. 15 minutes sounds way too long though.

Could be that when you take your car in for a service the mechanics take it out for a test drive and it gets the nuts thrashed off it. That would loosen it up nicely, just like a trackday!

One of the advantages of the cat-back option is that there is no butchering required. The middle section and backbox are all in one piece on the 172 exhuast, so for a backbox-only theres gotta be some cutting.
