Thanks Fred. Had a feeling you'd be the one to reply.
Is it just a case of scraping the old one out and using a little adhesive to hold the new one in?
Hi,
Just bought some matched inlets. On inspection i noticed an area that looks like it should have some sort of seal but it has perished. Just wondering if anyone knows the relevent part number etc?
Thanks, Russ
Excuse the crappy pics they are from my old camera phone :) -
You certainly know how to make friends on a clio forum ;) lol
Ive heard that tegs feel gutless unless they're high up the rev range and on the boil. Nice cars none the less. Did the 182 feel small in comparison to the teg? I wouldnt mind a DC5 teg at some point.
Cheers Rich, much appreciated. I cant beleive how easy it is to rack up £100 worth of cleaning products. Granted the snow foam and lance is £50 of that but even so.
As title really? Yay/Nay? Is there a better shampoo to be had?
Just spotted Meguiar's Shampoo Plus and Meguiar's D110 Hyper Wash. If someone could recomend me a good shampoo id appreciate it. Been using Megs Gold class for a while but not sure its worth £15
Just be gentle on the throttle fella. There was a guy with a Megane over on Renaultsport saying that he cant take his car over 3.3k in 1st gear without wheel spin...well blow me down the roads are slippy wheel spin is inevitable even in a 1.2 in this weather when being to heavy footed in first
What do you mean that hand application is un-necersary? Do you mean a spray wax will suffice?
I prob wont clay till March time, i just want to get stocked up while im placing an order to save postage costs.
Hi guys,
Im going to buy a foam lance this afternoon, which snow foam would you recommend i get with it?
Also could you recommend me a decent shampoo to wash the car with afterwards?
Last 2 questions....
The car was clayed in summer but has unfortunately picked up some nasty contamination...
Nope...FREE!
I replaced the washers myself in Feb, sure enough theyve started leaking again so took it to Renault and they replaced them for free under the parts warranty.
There is defo some advantage to buying genuine parts at times.
Hi guys,
Ive come to realise that my works van is actually good for something....making me realise how fast and refined the 182 actually is LOL.
I generally cover 700miles a week in my works van so the Clio gets very little, if any use in the week now. Picked the car up from Renault after...
As for getting the car dyno'd ive been recommended to use a dyno box rather than a rolling road. Apparently they're more accurate as they remove the wheels and clamp the dyno onto the hubs themselves.
Ive been trying to find a dyno local to stoke-on-trent but the nearest seems to be middlewhich.
Lol im not that naive. Although it would be nice to come close to the 200bhp mark with cams if i decide to go down that route in Feb time when the cambelt change is due.
My main aim at the min is to try and release some power lower down the rev range.
At the fly. maybe less accurate but i like bigger numbers lol
Any other subtle mods i could make just to help squeeze a little bit more power out? Mid range power improvements especially would be good.
Lets have some gestimates then. Ive been buying a few new toys for the 182 although still have a couple more to buy before fitting.
What do we think ill get power wise with the following?
ITG Panel filter
Angelworks matched inlets
RS Tuner remap (worth paying the extra for a custom map?)
Ive...
Am i right in thinking that a clio with cams and itb's will be putting out somewhere in the region of 220bhp? What sort of torque figures?
Whats the 0-60 time like? Much change on the car mid range for the better or worse?
Finally....what sort of cars will you be upsetting with an extra 40bhp?
Ive really no idea mate. ive litterly received it today and im selling it straight on. I have a pda phone for work so really dont want another for home as for me personally it just wont get any of the features used.
I hadnt either until i did a little research on them, from what i can gather...
My choice of mods would be -
ITG panel filter
Angelworks matched inlets
RS Tuner remap
Goodridge braided lines
Fresh discs/pads
Colour Coded side bullets
Eibach Proline springs
Ktec Carbon Splitter
Cup Spoiler
Silvertec indicator bulbs
Nice stainless exhaust when the standard one falls off...
