The Menzerna Pad is quite firm, though I still think for sorting deeper marks a 4 inch spot pad is better for targeting individual marks.
Carlack 68 is a chemical paint cleaner will do little to no defect correction.
Cutting Pad and Poorboys SSR 2.5 or Menzerna Intensive Polish both work well...
I never rough the area up, just clean and degrease it well then build up the layers of paint so it stands just proud of the chip. Key is to build up the layers of paint then leave the paint a decent amount of time before wet sanding. Never bother with the lacquer either on small chips.

2000 grit works fine, I use the Meguiars Unigrit Finishing Paper 3000 as it means the marks can be removed by hand if need be.
I should really get an updated Picture lol!
Very alike the Souveran in Looks, but about as durable as chocolate fireguard. Would go for Onyx over both the above.
Danger of paint burn is one thing, inducing holograms into the paint is another, I would think getting a prefect high gloss finish from it at the speeds it will run at will be difficult.
Not using the wheelguard as it can not be layered as it contains cleaners, use the Poorboys or Swissvax Ones over EGP here myself. Both work really well.
Was going to get some Jetseal as I know I will be pushed for time to re EGP mine before the FSC, but looking at them I may not bother...
Drills a rule spin to fast even compared to a rotary. Not seen the kit so can't comment to much. Have seen them for scratch repairs would not like to do a whole car with one.
Just back from hospital now, passed out at work ;) lol
No - never!
Same as I would not let anyone else wash it even by hand. Dave at Rentech thought I was odd when I said please don't wash it.
If you access to a machine polisher like it sounds you have, Polish it using Menzerna Range as needed:
Intensive Polish
Final Polish
Finish Finish
Are my staple collection.
Wash the MFs in the Washing machine using liquid detergent and no fabric softener.
