sorry, i'm back again. got some bolts left. the top row all have 8mm heads, the bottom three have 10mm heads. all heads are solid.
bolt D- Dan mentioned as tie bar- is this the bar from the end of the dogbone to the gearbox? if so, this is fitted so this bolt is spare...? unless i've used...
those exhaust manifold nuts, i've got 11 of them in total- 9 for the manifold, what would the other 2 be for?
i've also got this, recognise it but couldn't place it, any ideas
thanks
Hi, I need to pull it apart to slice down the rubber bung. Do pull the bit with the nozzles off, or split the cylinder? Neither seems easy to budge. Thanks

hi all, budgie from here helped (= did most of the work) take the gearbox off my car and i'm going to attempt to refit it on the weekend. i've got plenty of bolts but not sure where they are from. i could probably figure it out as i go along by powers of deduction, but figure i may as well try...
hi, the price of coolant direct from renault has really dropped in price, you can get the 5 litre bottle for £10 + the vat. dunno if this is common knowledge but worth a mention.
cheers budgie, out the top as well :)
as soon as i'd finished tidying i had a bite to eat and my virus kicked in again, i've only just got out of bed :(
wonder if we can break the 3hr record putting it back in?
i can pull the handbrake all the way up but it drops down again to the first click. is it the ratchet or the cog teeth? can it be repaired or is it all pop rivets and stuff?
i was just looking for clarification that i don't need to fit the abs rings (which i now have- thanks all). even though the cup doesn't have abs, manufacturers can be buggers sometime and sods law something wouldn't work without the abs rings fitted. as i said in my previous post, the vectra...
i know i drive one! but sods law it would need the abs rings for something else, or something might not fit on right. use to have a vectra and that used the abs system to drive the speedo.
i lent on my handbrake and it popped down a couple of teeth, now it only comes up a couple of teeth, anything further and it won't hold. is it possible to shear the teeth off by leaning on it?
i got a thermostat from eurocarparts for £5.30 delivered using promotion code BOX20 for 20% off, but not sure if promotion is still running. as fred says it fits on the lip of the thermostat itself, so the stat has to come out before you can take off the o ring
dunno if this has been posted, but get a free calendar here:

tony wins that one, agency do have a good reputation, they're going to repair the box free of charge!! thanks tony :)
anyone know a good courier??
budgie, i'll pm you about getting the box out.
Re: Steering pulling to the right after gearbox replacement but tracking is spot on??
the rear shocks should be ok as they are but a few months old. i'll check them though, you never know. the gearbox will be coming out shortly (again!) so i'll have lots of room to inspect the steering components
that would be grand, cheered me up a bit :) i'll wait to hear from tony once he's spoken to agency and we'll go from there.
because i need to send the box off or run it up there in a day, it will have to be half and half - remove the box, couple of days break, then replace the box. i'd prefer to...
i'll put it on record that i bear no grudge against you tony nor do i blame you at all for any of this. i'm happy tony that you wouldn't have knowingly sold me a box that you knew to be faulty. it's just one of those things, thats all, nothing more nothing less. i'm sorry if i've said something...
