Even light swirls do take some shifting.
Chances are it will need a light cut pad but ideally you should try it on the polishing pad first. Not a big #83 fan and don't use it myself these days but a lot of others do so will hopefully give you some more advice on it.
I would recommend Brazo on here - not that localish as mean a trip to Swindon. Worth a trip for his expertise.
Justin-172 has just got one I believe and is in the Bristol area.
Do a search in the detailing section a few threads on it:

The fact thy are giving it more power would make me wait. it will address the one flaw the machine has at the moment it always feels it needs just a touch more go.
The only problem with the NXT Metal polish lacks the bite of the AG/Autosol and takes longer to get jobs doen even with the wire wool. I use the AG or Autosol first and then the NXT on a microfiber to refine the finsih.
EGP and Nattys Blue by hand for me.
Some apply the Wax by machine no point IMO.
Worth getting some better polishes than Scratch X to do paint correction with though.
SRP - panel at a time, on and off, work until there is nothing to remove.
EGP - leave on the car to cure for an hour and remove, apply very very thinnly.
There should be nothing to remove with Scratch X, you are meant to work it till there is nothing to wipe off to ensure it has done it's job. Any redsiue left to remove and you have not used it properly.
All the look how shiny my car thread's on here in the past have made me laugh.
As you guys have found out, all it does is remove bonded on crap that washing alone won't - it won't make your car look any better though. Need polish for that.
T-cut is an old fashioned abrassive cutting compound/polish, in the past few years the game has moved on.
Newer products contain diminshing abbrasives which mean they start off with a heavy cut, but break down into a mild finishing polish leaving a great finish. T-cut however does not, it stays...
Oh so true, my 182 was the replacement for me 205 GTi, in some ways I prefered the 205, in others the 182. The 182 at least feels a little like the 182. No chance of that in the 197.
Chemical Guys Wheel Gaurd Cleans and Seals as a one step - not sure how well it lasts as I have no used it.
I use either Poorboys Wheel Sealant or Swissvax Autobahn Wheel Wax over SRP and EGP myself.
You wot need much pf each.
SRP apply to a panel at a time, work well so there is little or nothing to remove.
EGP - apply as thin as you can the thinner the better, anything you remove is just wasted excess product. Apply to the whole car ( don't do in direct bright sunlight) leave to cure for...
