funnily enough i figured this out, its nowt to do with the exhaust
its the engine mounting!
some fit inline/under the bumper, some poke out, its the bloody engine mounts that cause it!
a car came in with the tail pipes almost under the bumper, i did the cambelt on it, it went back wih...
yeah the gasket is over £70
most of the cars left the factory without them, just use silicone, everyone else does!
thats the oil strainer/breather plate for future referecne
that's cheap IMO
make sure they've got the renault specific tools for doing the belt otherwise we'll have ANOTHER "my car feels slow after belt change" thread
around the £250 mark fitted off the top of my head is what i'd be (don't quote me on the LOL!)
£68.19+vat for the arm and ball joint complete
