on a phs1 i'd leave the OE cat alone, its actually bloody good! way better than the phs2 unit
my car managed 160bhp @ the wheels (190 @ fly aparently!) and i run a phs1 cat, air filter and cat back exhaust, that's all!
race pads - generally gradually get them upto temp, as long as you cool them down properly (ie drive without braking for 10min) you'll be fine, after that go nuts, just remember to cool them down
halfords do stock them, but you'd be mental to fit them, crap!
renault genuine ones aren't too bad (from me anyway, a lot more from renault!)
depends what you want
we do 150laps + per day when instructing! the high speed passenger car does upto approx 350 round bruntingthorpe (2mile per lap approx!)
our cars run EBC blues and PF01 stuff
