Mine needs PC'ing again, QD'ing at shows last year took its toll :( Washing it at shows next year instead.
Dont want to though as it will strip my Swisswax Best of Show Wax off. Doubt it will need claying at least!
A wipe over with Megs APC and water with a cloth.
But to be honest the car has rarelly seen rain, and the engine bay wiped over damp cloth every time the car has washed so it has never got that dirty.
If your car is quite clean already clay wont make much difference. All clay does is remove stuck on crap that washing alone wont.
Past threads on here of look how shiny my car is after claying make me laugh! It will leave you car feeling smooth but it wont make it shiny.
LC Black or DAS Blue, only would need a finishing pad, has very little physical cut so no advantage to using on a polishing pad. Mostly fillers.
I would use a better quality glaze myself and ditch the UDS to be honest
I have met the guys from Custom 101, and they know there stuff.
Knowing how particular you are, I would suggest calling Kustom 101 as Adeyspec suggests tbh.
I will ask him, he probably wont be to keen, as I asked him about doing a 205 from a stripped shell and he said it was not work than he...
You want swirl marks then ? Most dealer prep is shocking ;)
Working by Hand:
1. Wash Duragloss Shampoo with Lambswool Wash mitt.
2. Clay Meguiars Quick Clay or Sonus Mild Green
3. Polish Swirl Remove - Scratch X, Gloss/Finishing - Autoglym Super Resin
4. Sealant - Jeffs Werksatt Acyrlic...
I cut the bar into 3. So you get 3 uses out of each bar.
Clay the paintwork with new bit of clay ( I would never use a non fresh bit on paint )
When you have done the paint, then do the glass and then lastly the wheels.
Depending on how grimey the clay looks after all that I will either bin...
What do you need painting? Depending on what it is and how much work involved I may be able to get you a quote. About 10-12 miles away from Chelt if that is any good?
