That's my point. with old cars, you just never know how it's been treated in a past life. Especially Scoobs/Evo's where they are so sensitive to mapping and fuel quality.
My 300ZX TT was pampered by me. Did absolutely everything by the book. Bottom end went for no apparent reason.
After...
I think that because they're so old now, the chances that one (or more?) of the owners have abused them and then it means later down the line they fail catastrophically.
Mine was a completely standard U.K. Car when I got it so I guess nobody abused it because a BMW 320d is faster! Lol
Yours...
I think the reason I've kept mine so long is because it just seems to be bullet proof. Apart from consumables and 1 service, I haven't spent anything on it in 2 years.
*touches wood. Lots of wood...
I work in a bodyshop so I see refurbished painted wheels daily. We also use a sub contracting company (Phoenix alloys) to do our powder coating and our diamond cutting.
For me, powder coating process is a lot better. Dipped, stripped, blasted, oxidized, powder primer, wet paint, powder...
195/50/15's are cheap. (Assuming you have a mk2?)
Toyo T1R's are crap.
Rainsport3's are good but don't last long.
I like these;

The car needs to be fit for purpose. It isn't.
It is now the dealers responsibility to prove that the car never had a fault when you bought it.
(They can't, because it's fucked)
If I was you I'd be after my money back instead of another engine. Go elsewhere.
They are when you ring @Sunglasses_Ron and @DaveDreads and they come and let you in.
The last time we went I think we got there at about 11pm! Traffic was dreadful. Some poor f*****s from Cornwall took 11 hours to get there.
Like Ste, I am a techno r****d.
Can you explain a bit more?? I have a very old house with 12 inch thick walls so my wifi is really hot and miss some days. These look ideal but not sure how you'd wire them up??
As long as whoever refurbs them knows what they're doing, they'll look as good as the day they left the factory.
If you have no opposable thumbs and use s**t materials with crap prep and dothem in your shed, with dust and silicone everywhere, then yes, they'll be s**t.
Go careful with the stuff on eBay. I bought 20L of red 7 off there as it was cheaper than my rep.
It was watered down uselessness. In a container with a copied label.
I pay about £18 for 5L of Red 7 from my local rep. But I do spent about £2500 a month with him so I expect a good deal! Lol
