Why mess around ....
Zymol Atlantique Glaze (22oz) 1,116.00
lol, all does get very silly IMO, I have some Carbon - £40 odd and some Titanium which is meant to be £70, but managed to get a fair bit off the pot I purchased it from Ebay.
Had one on previous car fitted by the chap who owned it before, alarm never went off in the first week of ownership ( got fed up of carrying the silly pager thing around after that! ) so dont know if it worked.
If you have a pressure washer look on DW as to which lance to buy, will give much better foam than via any other method and for not alot of pennies IIRC. I can never be bothered to get the presure washer out so grabbed the Gilmour. Most weekends I have a couple of vehicles to wash at least so...
Cleaning geeks Mark I am upset! ;)
AFAIK only riz & Justin-172 has one on here I could be wrong.
I have a Gilmour as does Alan and a few others on here. The Superspray is a hell of a lot cheaper but produces no where near the same results as the Gilmour.
Depending on Model/Year some bits may vary in general the possibilitys of having

Orange peel seems to be a factor of most cars now they are using water based paints. It is fairly bad on my 182, but not to the extent it is on some 197s. Suprisingly it is also present on some high end cars that would never have had finishes like that in the past.
I didnt notice the turn in being any sharper, but as said maybe the over light steering masked this for me. I am not convinced on point to point the 197 being quicker bit, easier to drive cross country quickly maybe.
It don't think most people on here think it's a crap car to be honet, and and exhaust would not be the think to make me want to buy one! Sort the overlight light sterring out first please Fred!
Written an a post/response akin to the thread started here in the fact that yes the 197 is a more...
My point was chassis wise the 182 drives and feels very akin to the 205 GTi, a little loose right on the edge, the tail moving about under heavy braking, and enough excitement to make your palms sweat a bit that get it round on the limit and it will bite you in the arse just like an old Pug GTi...
With Renault it is more a case of maintaining that there current hot hatch was top of the game, building on with the 172 where the Williams left off. Ensuring the likes of Peugeot didnt turn the tables back to when there GTis ruled the roost.
It all makes perfect sense to me now after this thread ... Despite having one to may Xmas drinks tonight.
Just noticed your if "I was richer I would have both comment". Had the same conversation last night with a friend who has a 306 GTi 6 who does not know what he would replace it with, and we...
Most sensible post I have seen in a long time ;) You last sentance sums it up for me. Fully agree.
For me I like that twitchy 205 GTi esque nature of the 182, thats why I purchased it. As I posted on the other thread I would happily have a 197 to drive everyday alongside my 182, but not as a...
Don't think anyone will argue with that, I could tell that pretty much 2 miles into the test drive, loads of grip and felt super composed, but felt so dull.
Cross country drive in a 182 or 197, if you want a fun drive its a no brainer, 182 everytime, if you want just want to get from A to B...
If thats what your looking for from a car then happy days. (Fully agree on the driving postion bit though).
For me it was boring and no fun, would happily own one as a daily hack alongside my 182 though.
