    Hankook RS2's for 182

    Hankook RS2's for 182

Typical ill informed response! Inferno has them & so far is enjoying them. As soon as i get a spare set of speedlines my 197 cup will be shod with these. People should try different products & stop being 'sheep' :rasp: ie PE2's F1's etc are good road tyres but when put to the test on...

    Looking at these toyos R888's

I would be asking if thats 3.5 mm across width of tyre or just deepest tread as they can wear funny after abuse. Also horror stories if stored over winter in sheds etc with rubber going brittle.

    Clio 197 xenon problem

If it's the selfleveling it's only a few quid for a new sensor i believe. No wonder people walk away from xenons & climate, too many problems

Too right 3yr warranty FTW Go sell your car, price it as cheap as you like it will still be better than the trade in value! Then start looking for a used one. I did got 3 month old fully loaded cup for less than i paid for my Trophy few yrs back.

    Been looking at a 197

You should know! If your thinking of 08 plates onward no issues with old box or kangarooing as was fixed. 3yr warranty & breakdown so no worries at all. Cup suspension & recaros are a must & i wouldn't buy without, just look at the 182's without cup sus no one wants them. New...

Trophy vs 197 Cup my view.

Yes it did take a while :o , no big loss through the winter not having to keep a new car clean. Spent a couple of hours in both cars on & off track. The r26 is a good car but just decided the revy nature of the 197 suited my driving style better. After Silverstone last friday defo...

Trophy vs 197 Cup my view.

I was trying to say the wider stance & suspension setup of the 197 more than makes up for the Sach dampers of the Trophy. Having owned a Trophy for 2 yrs (14,000 miles of road & lots of trackdays)& not just had a go in one i can tell the 197 is an excellent setup. Any time mate, hows the 'M'?
  28. Steve

    My first trackday!

Forget Bedford try Donington, Oulton etc proper track. Problem with a CS day think 'egos' would out do 'talent' :rasp:

Trophy vs 197 Cup my view.

Thanks for all the comments, glad it didn't turn into the usual slanging match :o It's buzzy at appearing in the dock speeds but rides better, defo calmer place to be. Less squeaks & rattles for sure have a go in one but not just a 10 min test. The more i drive it the more i feel i have...
