i wouldn't touch any of the "cheap" rods, the stock ones are 100% fine for NA use (as long as you use ARP bolts)
pistons - wossner (, that's what k-tec use, they do rods too, but don't bother)
that has to be a wind up, a 295/30 19 is aroud £350 a go for the most expensive pirelli
(unless he means thats a total amount he's spent on tyres from replacing them all the time)
heated rear screen turns itself on and off by itself, you can hear the relay click etc
weird thing is, it does it with the button and fuse removed also, i'm stumped!
172 by the way
UCH knackered? or a dodgy earth?
to my knowledge renault have never released that info but i maybe wrong, its safe going with eibach though, they did the springs for the trophy (amongst others) so i'm sure they'll know the rates and whats going on
would you/wouldn't you?
i'm about to take on a "blind" test of tyres, they're remoulded (technically nicer term is retread) The guy next door to me has been in the remould business for 30+ years and knows his onions (only bloke i know that still vulcanises damaged tyres)
the bikers amongst...
^yep chris is "the man"
he did the mapping on the first ever clio 172 on throttle bodies (roamers car)
the s**t between PE and TOD is due to most of the staff leaving PE and setting up TOD, i wouldn't hesitate recommending TOD, excellent bunch, Chris especially
some of the s**t i've had to do to get them out is unbelievable, breaker bar for example! (not a clio)
as you say, an experienced mechanic/spanner twiddler will be fine, its the "my mate dave" type jobs that do it!
my own cars, whatever, customers get the torque treatment, preferably with them stood next to me while i do it, RS clios have a habit of blowing plugs out the head, you can see why!
the torque settings are there, so i use them!
