Didnt like Racing blue 197s and now dont like racing blue 200s :(
Would have to be Alien green for black for me.
Alsong as your happy,
Get some speedlines though.
If you push the throttle passed the point, it turns it off, all the speed on your dash flashes and wont come back on till you reset it on the steering wheel.
Leave it see if you enjoy the day. See if its something you want to do again, then buy the best you can afford.
Make sure you have a good brake set up though, something like, braided lines, brembo HC disks and ferado 2500s.
Mallory will ruin your tyres if you alignment isnt right.
First u need to decide if you want a cup or a FF
Cup has hardly any of the nice bits, FF has all the nice bits. Look out for the "cup packs" on the FF's
Options.
Cup pack 1, spolier + spliter
cup pack 2 , anthercite wheels, lower/harder suspension.
Most harnesses are road legal.
FIA ones are ones that are able to be used in events, therefore have had to go through safety testing. None FIA could be anything.
Fia ones are dated for a period of time, this is for event use.
If im wrong correct me.
You got a single or a double back box? I have a single that was the first single version they had sone on a 182.
mine is really quiet :) 55 miles a day on a motorway
You found a guy whos willing to do one of the most important jobs on your car for cheap, i hope its a garage and not a random guy.
Doing a cup is completely different to a normal 172, so hope he realises that.
does he have the correct looking tools? are you getting the book stamped?
Suspension is harder, the hubs are different.
I would not buy a uncupped car, for a few reason.
1, the price differance now, theres no need to go for the basic.
2, they look naff
3, which is a odd one to explain, but to me, if some one has gone to the dealers to buy the car new and has not...
Depends on a number of things.
Are you going to do all the prep work? are you wanting just a exterior or a proper, full spray, ie engine bay ect.
Cost of paint depending on what "colour" white you go for.
1.5K + for the cheapest id have said.
Correct, for some one to drive it, it still needs to be insured.
Can you not insure the 1.2 with the company you plan to insure the 182 with , then swap the cars round?
Or take the 1.2 to the dealers a few days earlier to save the hassle?
Or as the dealers to pick the 1.2 up with their trade...
