At the risk of repeating myself, £2500 will just about buy you a rusty/needs restoring Mk1 XR2. That same £2500 will buy you a VERY tidy 205 gti, R5, Williams etc. At best, Trophy's are likely to hold their value more than other 182's, but that won't be measurable for at least another 10...

They won't. French hatchbacks don't have enough of a following. Apart from some seats and some shocks, it's a worse spec than a normal 182!

Just plain plates. No borders, no fancy plastic raised letters, no ''GTI'' on the bottom etc. Just plain plates. I'm assuming you'll be playing with the spacing on your new xmas present, so keep the plates plain and you're even less likely to get stopped IME.

Trophy's will always be worth more than other 182's but they won't be classics and they're certainly not investments!! V6 yes (but they will crash soon, guarantee!) but investing in any other Clio trying to get a return on your money is not going to work. Go and buy an RS Turbo, XR2...
