Yeah, people chop and change badges depending on what they prefer. Personally I prefer the RS 200 badge but I've still got the 197 badge on mine.

Not going to lie, an absolute mechanic novice - how difficult a job is this? Headlight bulb change time. I've done passenger side by removing air intake etc but there isn't enough room to put the rubber seal back on so looks like the light unit has to come out! :(

I haven't got a plan of attack for it yet! Doesn't help that my fingers resemble a pack of sausages.

Haha! I've had mine garaged last night and will be again tonight as I can't get the bloody rubber seal back on!

Achieving this on a 197! Just need to get the rubber seal back on now! Nightmare! Opted for the air intake off method.

No it wasn't a choice. 197's have; And then 200's have the logo badge; Well, that's how they left the factory anyway.

His method looks a lot more painful than just removing the bumper. Didn't know arch liners need to come off though.

Yeah, had a look mate but can't see any of them being the headlights. Also checked the fuse box in drivers side footwell but that appears to be interior. Windows, reading lights etc.

There is no £9 trolley jack :(

Where abouts is this located? It isn't by the battery, or in the drivers footwell. Got a feeling it's underneath the battery tray, would I be correct? Going to check the fuses before removing the bumper and replacing the bulbs. Once the engine was rebuilt and turned over, neither headlight...

Hi guys, Any ideas on this? Headlight isn't working - only side lights & main beam. Light comes up on the dash also. Both bulbs couldn't have gone at exactly the same time, surely? With main beam still working?

eBay have a few unpainted ones or you can always try RenParts.

Did you buy back from the insurance? I'm sure I saw someone on here yesterday who had bought a white 200 with this exact damage so they could rebuild. Think it was a trader.

Agreed - Did you text check to see if it had been resprayed in the past? That looks like it was originally silver and not yellow. What does log book say it is? I also didn't think you could get a standard 197 in yellow, only the R27's came in LY.

Of course :wink: 197 should have had a major overhaul by then as well so may get some track time!

How you finding it? What wheels are you going to go for? Majority of the forum will moan at you if you don't get turinis but just do your car how you want it! Tints are also debateable but I think the back 3 on nimbus clios looks smart!
