LOL - I bet 99% of the people would look at a Mondial Blue Cup as much as they would a Arctic Blue 182.
Dont talk such nonsense
Same for a Silver Cup and Silver 172/182.
Personally I would not use anythging not made for the task, but if it works hey I am not going to argue! That said it cant be any worse than Wonder Wheels or other wheel acids, I dont use them either though.
I use different MF's for different tasks.
Polish and Sealant Removal - Pakshak Ultra's (Can't find any UK stock at the moment)
Quick Detailing - http://www.cleanandshiny.co.uk/ProductDetails.asp?ProductID=9165
Carnuba Wax -...
A route/process that will look good on Racing Blue IMO.
Clay - Serious Performance Clay (Good value for money)
Swirl removal by hand - Megs Scratch X as Needd
Paint Cleaner/Mild polish - Autoglym Super Resin
Sealant - Autoglym Extra Gloss
Wax - P21s or Poorboys Nattys Blue...
I apply products with the Megs yellow foam hand pads, for the clay get the Serious Performance own brand stuff. Ditch the Chamois and ask Alex if he has any Poorboys Waffle Weave drying towels he can sell you.
I would get the clay from here http://www.seriousperformance.co.uk/
Just mix up some car wash and water in a spray bottle and use that.
Wonder wheels will be ok on the Cup Pack wheels. It is strong so tends to dull laquer on the wheels till you repolish them.
Wonder Wheels is one the harshest cleaners out there if that does not shift it nothing will!
Once cleaned use some Autoglym Super Resin and Extra Gloss to seal them inside and out.
Carnuba Waxes give a deep wet look to the paint but dont last that long. Best off with a sealant base to it first.
P21s and NXT will both be no no's on new paint unless your painter says otherwise. You should avoid any products that that contain either waxes or sealant as this will effect the paint curing.
New paint will be soft, and aftermarket paint will be sofeter than factory due to the process used. I...
Would allow you to put on thinner coats, for any polishing work it will great a higher gloss and remove marring you wont by hand. On good shape paint the PC wont help things as much as on paint in need of attention.
That said for sealants and waxes I always work by hand.
I have never had the pleasure of detailing a cup, but as there unpainted others have just use AG bumper care on them. If you polish them at a guess the matt look will be removed. I would not really like to suggest anything really not knowing there actual finish.
