You can polish fresh paint, it will have been anyway after painting in the bodyshop. You are not supposed to wax or seal it though till its cured. Depends on paint shop and paint used but normally 30 -60 days. Oms - They will probably machine polish the whole car anyway if they have that much...

Welcome to CS. I would go for the newest one you can find tbh. The 182 Cup or 182 with Cup options is a notch above the normal 172s handling wise. Most regard the 172 cup and 182 Trophys as the true drivers cars though.
