Take it back to the dealer, I'm sure they have to provide either 1 or 3 month warranty even on used cars. Thats what I was told when vw main dealer wouldn't sell me a p/x going to auction as a trade deal, since they still by law have to warranty it. Daniel should know if this is true or not?

lol, never helped do one on that engine, I helped my uncle do a couple of peugeot/citroen old diesels (belt not chain) and presumed they'd all be similar. Although i never said it was easy, just cheap to DIY

Sounds like head gasket to me, not that expensive a job if you can do most of it yourself, just need to pay to get the head skimmed.

IMO, if your going non sport just go for a dynamique. Most are anyway, they dont cost much more if at all and the spec is decent. Also, early dynamiques dont have auto wipers/light.

Oops lol, well dad has had a banner for years and not had a problem. Factors said its a straight swap if its faulty, they just test it with their equipment in the yard.

I'd be more worried with the water turning to ice tbh.

Well I paid £59 inc 4 year guarantee. Not particularly cheap but the make was recommended to me by a mechanic. They had a cheaper make for £40 with 2y guarantee.

Yes it is, its an awkward one to get. I have replaced mine on Friday, its the size of an 063 but with more power, so I ended up getting a 50Ah from the local motor factors.
