oil temp i believe is one of the checks the ecu does before allowing the full limiter, if the oil is too cold it won't go all the way up is it a thermo plate on the cooler?

just bought another car, the V5 has gone off to the DVLA, i have the wee green "receipt" bit from the V5 (New keeper supplement V5C/2) can i tax the car with this? i think i can, but not 100% sure (tax has expired!)
