How Much For 172/182 Brake Pads?

LOL - wish I knew about these last weekend...! http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=218694 D.

182 passed MOT but rear exhaust boxes corroded

Tough call, Karen. I'd prefer to stick with an original Reno replacement, but as others have said, aftermarket ones are supposedly cheaper. If anything, the 182 is really, really muted with it's exhaust note. The choice of having something a bit louder would be nice, I suppose? D.

Silver 182 up through plymouth royal parade 12:40am

LOL - they've changed that since I was there, then. You put your life in your own hands crossing Royal Parade at night. Good times though - probably wouldn't recognise the place now. What was that pub called at the end of Royal Parade that stood on it's own? The Bank or something? That used to...

    Sonus SFX-1 question?

Ah? I have a large bottle of AG SRP - maybe I'll try that first then after the SFX-2 (or 1) phase? Iirc, you don't rate the AG Ultra Deep Shine for afterwards, Rich? I do have a bottle of the AG EGP as well.... D.

    Newbie PC usage question

^^^^ - lol - that last sentence sums it up! I know exactly what you mean now. Cheers m8! :) D.

    Sonus SFX-1 question?

Good god - what have I started? I haven't used the PC yet and already I'm on that slippery slope of National Debt to the detailing products! ;) D.

    Newbie PC usage question

What's the deal with taping up the cill rubbers, etc? Does the PC damage these in anyway? Or is it that the pad on the PC would pickup way too much crap off the rubbers? Cheers, D.

    Sonus SFX-1 question?

^^^^ - that looks well impressive m8. My 182 is bad, but not as bad as that 200SX! It's got me thinking of buying some SFX-1 as a backup measure! :) D.

    Sonus SFX-1 question?

Cheers guys. I'll see how the SFX-2 performs first, but I may per-chase the -1 in a bit. D.

Is Royal Parade still the local dragstrip? Or have they got speed cameras on there? D.

    my clio (nothing special)

Good man - forget the 17s. If I were you, I'd focus on sweetening up the handling and maybe braking of the car. You won't easily be able to get increases in engine power, but you could certainly make it handle very well indeed.... D.

    Sonus SFX-1 question?

Is this stuff too harsh for normal use? I'd only be using the standard SFX-2 polish anyway, but if there were sections that didn't appear to be touched by the SFX-2, I maybe tempted for the SFX-1. D.

    Respraying a V6 255

Surely you'll loose value in having it resprayed to a different colour - especially another V6 colour? Regardless of quality, I'd be well suspicious if a black gold V6 I was looking at, was actually illiad blue underneath. Now painting it something unique like white or orange - I can understand...

LOL - just what I was thinking! Good work m8 - pics like that give me faith that my upcoming first attempt with a PC should go ok........ hopefully. D.

    172 cup now or 182 in 2months

Same manufacturer - same car. Two different ways of getting 'similar' performance. It depends what you're after. If you are after a more raw driving experience, then clearly the 172 Cup is the way to go. You may have more of a search on your hands for a decent one though - they seem to be...

FAO : owners of Black gold cars

Colin - same here m8. The paintwork on my previous Punto (a Fiat, ffs! ;) ) is a work of art, compared to my BG 182. Is has to be the black gold colour. Both of Jain's Clios were a shining pinnacle of shinyness compared to mine. P.S. I've got a PC on the way - I'll let you know how it goes! D.

    197 R27 - Info?

LOL! Does that include the free trip for the salesman up your Hershey Highway? I know that's retail price, but for FFS - £20k for a 197? I wouldn't pay that for one if they knocked £8k off that price. D.

    My N/W Meet Photos...

Actually Chris, ignore me - I'm being a tool. The more I look at that pic above, the more I think the white looks great against the racing blue. I wouldn't like to clean the buggers though! ;) D.

    The New C&C

The hardest bit I had on that was defending the GDI base in the lower left corner as soon as I captured it. That should be your immediate goal. I found that the Scrin used air attacks a lot more than ground units. Once I had the GDI, I just blitzed the area with AA turrets. You have to keep...

    PC world

LOL - too true. A bit like the time I was in the queue and some bloke in front of me bought a £7.99 gamepad. The girl on the counter asked if he wanted the extended 3-year warranty on it......... at £12. :S D.

    Low Riding Dirty!!! (teaser pics)

Fecking awesome! :D I'm glad we have the likes of Winston and Martin on here - to show us how the other half lives! We're all sat in our pristine Mk2s and clearly missing out on half of the fun! Nice work m8. What's next on the agenda??? D.

Searching for buying guide and owner experience of the 172 and 182 FF

C.K - best of luck finding a 182, m8! As for reliability, I use mine everyday too and from work and also socially. I've managed just over 29,000 miles so far since buying it from new in December 2004 and it's never let me down. The things that have gone wrong have been three punctures (bad...
