Ive had a VTS and GTi, a Phase 1 and at current a 182.
In my honest opinion, the Phase 1 172 was the best car by miles.
It does everything the VTS/GTi does except better, and for the same running costs.
Its entirley true though, regulations have changed and as you know vehicle safety is at an all time (depressing) high.
They get heavier all the time, gone are the days of feeling a sense of danger on every road trip lol

They're superb out of the box, doesnt stop me from wondering what it would be like to own/live with a Super/Turbo Charged F4R, right enough.
I havent really bothered my sheriffs badge to look at the ad but as an impartial give-a-fucker, id say no one, and i mean no one, is in that much of a hurry to get rid of a Cup.
Welcome along Mike, following the service schedule will see the DCi last for as long as you wish, they really are superb wee cars if maintained!
Regular oil changes will see the engine last!

Out of curiosity, did you consider anything else along the lines of a 997? (It would be my preference over most if not all the competition also)
