Yep - you've both got a valid point there (Roy & Rasclart). If the developers themselves get the lions' share of the money going back to them, they are far more likely to update and mod the original game for the sake of the community. EA (imo) doesn't give a flying monkey's about customers...

Cheers guys. I'm even more willing to try it as I've got a spare blank SATA drive to hand. Unplug the one containing my 32-bit XP and hoof this fresh drive in to try out 64-bit XP. The only game I can think of specifically that supported 64-bit was that 400MB+ patch that they did for Farcry...

Has anyone used this O/S for gaming? I know on paper that 99.9% of games are 32-bit apps anyway, but I'm intrigued to see if there's any difference and/or improvement? I've got an AM2 Athlon 64 X2 4800 and also have downloaded official XP64 Pro drivers for all of my hardware. I've got the eval...
