Awfulthentique and expressions were the only ones with steel wheels, and they were 14s.
Dynamique, privilege and initiale all had 15 inch alloy wheels but had 15 inch steels as spares.
Ph1 Renaultsport had 15 inch wheels and a 15 inch alloy spare.
Ph2 Renaultsport had 16 inch alloys and 16...
Non sports only came with 14 inch steels. Unless you manage to find 4 spare wheels from a dynamique or privilege.
Easiest option is the steel wheels from a 1999-2002 megane/megane scenic. Loads of 15 inch steels on them.
Before you go spending your money, wait to see if someone else offers any opinion.
I'm only going off my own experiences, not actual mechanical fact! lol.
Look forward to meeting you at Llandow! :D
Genuine parts for all of them. You could upgrade the leads but I don't see the point personally. I'm willing to be educated on that though.
Euro car parts / GSF parts are crap though so don't bother with them. Genuine FTW.
If it's brought up a misfire code but it's not misfiring i'd wage my money on the plug leads starting to break down.
I've done a couple of spark plug changes on 172/182s in the past and soon after the leads give up.
Take a spare set of plugs/leads/coilpack (Off another one of your many...
I had a 4 door saloon XJ12. I appreciate it's a completely different drive to your Dads convertible but it was awesome. Could do a rolling burnout from 30mph! lol.
That is a big regret selling that. I just didn't realise how rare they were. Bellend!
When you say you've had it scanned, do you mean with the proper Renault Clip or just some generic code reader?
My advice would be to take it to one of the many (decent!!) specialists on here.
Where do you live?
This weekend....
Fitted coilovers, new wheels, new seats, new front bumper, new mirror covers, Cambelt kit, aux belt kit, dephaser, engine and gearbox oil change, new spark plugs and a new pollen filter.
Boom!
The Clio shells are painted in a completely different place to the doors/bumpers etc. painted at different angles and all sorts.
I wouldn't worry about it.
Steve can charge what he wants. There is no other ph1 like that and to replicate it with another (with sub 60k remember!) with the same parts and prep, would cost you well into £6k i'd imagine.
