If a belt snaps, and you decide to replace the engine....
£250 for a second hand engine. (You will have NO idea where it's come from or how many miles it's done!)
£500 for a new belt kit and dephaser whilst it's out.
£150 for a new clutch.
£xxx to remove the engine and fit the new one...
Mike, I don't want to come across as rude but your advert does not represent the car very well at all. It sounds a bit chavvy with all the dump valve and induction kit talk.
People buying this sort of stuff would rather read about service history, number of keys and cambelts etc.
Like I...
Mk1
Best: It's a retro cool mk1 with a newer F4R.
Worst: It has no windows and no interior loom. :(
182
Best: So discrete yet pretty useful with a 2.0 engine.
Worst: Coilovers on the road are a useless mod.
1.2 Euro'd thing.
Best: It looks f'kin wicked!
Worst: I'm the wrong side of 30 to...
Silver AC'd cups are uber rare!!
(i've no idea why I typed silver... r****d!)
That looks ok for the money really. Especially with the belt kit and dephaser to go with it. Get it fitted by a specialist (Birchdown for you I suppose?) and you can't go wrong!
The CS population are unreal.
So the garage are good enough for you to take money off them, but now you're out to sabotage their business?! With absolutely no evidence that they have done anything wrong at all.
If mine had that mileage and those electric seats, I'd own the best BMW on the planet.
I'm still in love with mine after 7 months. I can't think of another car that I've loved as much as this one. It's literally perfect! (Apart from the above two items)
