395bhp and 3.7s to 60 isnt too shabby!
(Done a search, if its a repost, hey, suck my balls!)
Re: I dont know what to do - 197 to 200 - advise from long term 197 owners would be g
Per the question of how long would the 197 engine last, it will last aslong as its treated and cherished as supposed to.
Look at Fletchers and Russ's 172's, they are way up and above 100k and still going...
Id much rather a top end Phase 1 (which 3k will secure) than an okay-ish Phase 2.
Also, the Phase 1 has a throttle cable as opose to the Phase 2's fly by wire, alot of people maintain that they are both the same pace but after having a Phase 1 and now a 182 im in no doubt the throttle cable is...
imo, white looks cheap.
Id always worry about the condition of the paint underneath if i ever had to take it off. i.e darker or lighter than the rest being exposed to the elements?
Im confident you would have to be giving a 182 an absolute tanking to get it that low...! Never between my 172 and 182 have i seen anything under 27mpg :o
Lovley mate, i really have alot of time for these...!
Ignore the haters, they are usually the ones that have never sat in one never mind driven one.
Anyway, you should consider the Mountune kit, it transforms this car to what it should have left the factory like, it makes it sound sublime...
Go for a car that can be driven away with absolute minimal hassle/drama
Id make up the difference in buying one with the least amount of hassle attatched (if you can ofcourse love)
Its a risk at best.
As said already, re-sale is a mare as you will be trying to explain this to the next curious person and itll need to be sold under the odds (as its under the odds at the moment as it stands imo)
I can vouch personally that i have never, ever been in a FWD car that goes round corners like this, and ive been in a few hot/rapid motors over the years.
Its looking stunning mate, when did you get that private plate ya pervert?x
