I tend to think as this was a Vauxhall and there are not alot of VXR fans on here it wouldnt have got the same stick had it been a Golf GTi or a Megane 225/R26 etc

I tend to agree but runnning costs on higher end cars stay the same regardless how cheap it can be picked up for and in some cases higher as it gets older as your well aware!

Yeah thats aload of b****cks. You would need to put something bigger than 17" wheels on a Clio to cause any kind of real problems
