iirc i think the f4s are around the 265 mark not 100% sure on that one tho. but they are a lot more duration/lift than a std williams.
and hes gunna be pulling an engine out either way, a straight swap of evrything from f7p/f7r, loom ecu etc, get the ecu chipped, like i say a gunner chip...
see what your saying mate, but tbh if the lads gunna be taking on the conversion himself, then throwing a set of cams in an f7 is gunna be childs play.
f7 vs f4. only way to compare would be to get them to same spec, which would mean camming the f7 for a start to bring it in line with the f4s...
like i said...depends who tunes it. ;)
back street build over tuner builds evry day of the week for me tbh.
there are pros and cons for both. as said previously, personally id stick with the f7, easier, cheaper, and slightly quicker ;)
again all imho
but plenty of other people did.
remember nick read?? and all the development work he paid thru the nose for them??
i asked what r&d theyd done for the turbo conversions etc.....after a blank look....'what' was the answer lmao.
cowboys they were
how did he manage to lose that in such a big way? didnt look like much correction was needed tbh. and as above..where the fook did the photographer go?? lol@ lookin under bonnet for him
in that case....adis cliorossa had £000s spent on it, kill power modded/chipped, was only slightly quicker than my standard williams. couple of hundred quidsworth of cams n his ass was mine. mapped on top of that i handed him his ass evry time, til he got the giggle gas....5 mins and 1 empty...
mine runs 270 cams idles not too lumpy at all. economy isnt that bad. i had 260s before this and believe it or not, after the remap it was more economical than it was std. if u tickled it. obviously it drank like a fish with the foot on the boards. lol. nowhere near as bad as it was with the...
love black valvers. my 1st and last valvers were black.
personally tho, id stick with the f7s, but go for the 2.0. by the time youv bought evrything to get it running an f4, you could have a plug and play f7r , cammed up etc and itd be quicker than the f4. with a lot less hassle ;)...
my williams had a little play with a scoob the other night, yet again.....3 up...scoob 1 up.
i wasnt in the car at the time, but it apparently did quite well .....catching it and holding it.
i think im going to have to put the bodies back on hehe
so the performance improvement has nothing whatsoever to do with the larger capacity block, redesigned head, redesigned manifold, redesigned cams etc etc etc. thats performance.
handling may be slightly altered by lighter wheels, as well as maybe a little performance on initial...
iv beat quite a few things in it lol....last thing being a waste of petrol really, but p**sing the guy off in his spanking new boxter s was a pleasure lol....he wouldnt even look at me afterwards, going past with his head very very low.....lol....and thats even after giving him a head start...
at a guess id say about 10-15mm. the rest being the longer btm arms etc. otherwise all the other suspension components would be interchangable, which they arent, why??? cos of the WIDER TRACK. i.e btm arms, rack etc etc
doesnt say much about the engine/stiffer arb etc etc etc tho does...
just to put it into a little perspective. a drag race. standing start, 1/4 mile. williams will be on average a full second quicker down the strip. then the gap just keeps growing. a second in a 1/4 mile is quite a good chunk.
add corners, again on a track, youd be looking at a good 10...
^^^^^^^^ got it in one..........hence the brothercousin delivery rides too...............a lot of smack dealers/deliverers will have used their cars, its easier for them if they have a selection of cars to choose from, keeps the cops on their toes and confuses em......which isnt too hard now...
